Em Sherif is the product of Mireille Hayek and Chef Yasmina Hayek’s culinary genius. Mireille Hayek, affectionately known as “Em Sherif,” is the visionary whose culinary journey began in 2006 when she opened her first restaurant, La Parilla in Beirut, followed by Yasmina, a fine Indian fusion restaurant named after her daughter, in 2009. In 2011, she launched Em Sherif, a fine-dining Lebanese restaurant that reinterprets time-honored recipes with a refined touch. Under her leadership, the brand has expanded to prestigious locations in Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Monaco, and London, solidifying its reputation as a beloved symbol of Lebanese hospitality.
Her daughter, Chef Yasmina Hayek, serves as the Executive Head Chef of the Em Sherif Group. Inspired by her mother’s passion for culinary artistry, Yasmina pursued formal training at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon and gained experience in Michelin-starred kitchens across Europe.
