Founder and Chairman of Monterock International, Petros Stathis comments: “I am honoured to be part of this incredible journey, witnessing Aman Venice transform into a sanctuary of unparalleled luxury and impeccable hospitality. Driven by profound passion for excellence, I wholeheartedly believe that Aman Venice stands among the finest hotels in the world, providing to its discerning guests an exceptional experience.”
Occupying the magnificent Palazzo Papadopoli, one of Venice’s eight monumental palazzos, Aman Venice offers a lavish blend of art, design and a unique sense of place. The hotel, inaugurated in 2013, boasts 24 rooms and suites adorned with the works by Italy’s greatest artists and includes Rococo works of art as well the combination of eclectic contemporary interior design by Jean-Michel Gathy. It also offers authentic Italian, ingredient-focused cuisine under the direction of Executive Chef, Panfilio, at their signature restaurant, Arva.
To celebrate the occasion, an exquisite event was held on the evening of July 11th, graciously hosted by General Manager, Licinio Garavaglia, within the intimate seclusion of the Grand Canal fronted private garden, within the Palazzo. The evening witnessed the esteemed presence of Luigi Brugnaro, Mayor of Venice, and Luca Zaia, President of Veneto Region, along with an exclusive gathering of guests, and friends and family of the Hotel. The attendees were treated to a captivating evening filled with gourmet delights, signature cocktails and live musical performances.
General Manager, Luciano Garavaglia remarked, “We are honoured to be stewards of this magnificent palazzo which has been part of Venice’s rich history for centuries and, in its latest iteration with Aman, has become a sanctuary for our guests over the past 10 years. A haven of privacy from which to explore the city, Aman Venice continues to evolve and provide unparalleled experiences thanks to the efforts of our dedicated team, many of which have worked here since the property first opened in 2013. We look forward to extending our warm Aman welcome for years to come as we invite guests and the community to explore our peaceful Venetian home”.
A highlight of the event was a precious gift to the attendees – an engraved Murano glass sphere created by Count Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga, a master interpreter of Venetian glass tradition. This initiative was supported by Monterock International, affirming its strong partnership with Aman Venice.
Monterock International congratulates Aman Venice and all its dedicated team and stakeholders on its milestone anniversary and looks forward to continuing and supporting its journey of offering world-class hospitality in one of the world’s most enchanting cities.
